Robert has been employed with the City of Sallisaw since 1985 where, he first served as the Purchasing Agent and in 1994 became the City Clerk and Treasurer. Robert has completed the certification program for Municipal Finance Administrators and the program for Municipal Clerks. He has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. He is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Public Treasurers, serving on the State Board of Directors; a member of the Oklahoma Municipal Clerks and Treasurers & Finance Officials, serving on the State Board of Directors; serves on the Oklahoma Clerks Institute Advisory Committee; and is a member of Government Finance Officials Association.

Robert has served on the OMRF Board of Trustees since 2005 and serves on the Investment Committee.
